SSAT tests are administered to students who want to be placed in high and junior high schools, primarily military schools and boarding schools. These institutions base their admission criteria on the scores obtained by the students. It is applicable to students who fall between 5th and 11th grades. Many other schools and institutions, also base their admission of students on the scores of SSAT. It is required for student to pass this test to gain admission for further school education. SSAT tests are graded nationwide and students are ranked on the overall percentile scores, apart from the individual score that they have obtained by taking this test.
