The Independent School Entrance Exam or ISEE is the test that is applicable for students who want to get enrolled in private middle and high schools. This test is an acceptable standard of assessment for the students to gain admission. Students from grade 5 to grade 11 can apply for ISEE. The students who undertake this exam are rated against students of the same age group, across the nation. This type of percentile wise gradation offers a realistic assessment of the standard of education that the student has received thus far and also an accurate indication of the student’s knowledge levels.
The ISEE tests are slotted to three levels. Students who fall between 4th and 5th grades will have to appear for the lower level of test. Students of 6th and 7th grades will undergo the middle level ISEE test and students of grade 8 and above will undergo the upper level test. This type of a three tier categorization is done to track and evaluate the progress in the students’ education and also to determine the knowledge levels of the students. The most significant phase of school education happens at this age group and ISEE offers a comprehensive evaluation mechanism that is accepted across the country.
The ISEE tests are highly competitive at their age level and the students need to be adequately prepared to handle the test and also score well. Online ISEE practice papers are available and these can equip the students with an orientation about the type of exam that they will need to undergo. ISEE test guides are also available for student preparation. A good score can be the difference between admission to a good school and a moderate one. So, adequate preparation for the students will give them a chance to obtain better scores.
ISEE tests are conducted on every Saturday during all the months of Fall and Winter. The students will need to register themselves for an ISEE test. Adequate care is taken to ensure that the students do not make repeated attempts in their quest to increase their scores. Also, many question papers are prepared for the same tests on the same day to make sure that the students do not have a chance of answering the same paper at two different centers. ISEE scores are sent to the parents and also to the schools that the students have indicated on their registration forms.
